英文科

The main aims of teaching English are to develop high quality teaching practices that will enhance our students’ English competence levels and encourage their self-regulating skills. We have established a well-organised lesson structure which includes student-involvement during our lessons. Students are encouraged to set their own goals for learning English. The students’ written work is recognised by having it displayed on various notice boards around the school and also on the school website. We also include e-learning in our lessons.

There are three NET teachers in our school. They prepare and present a variety of English activities, which includes the Primary Literacy Program (reading and writing) designed by the EDB.

Our students partook in diverse English activities and competitions. Our Drama Club members performed in a play during the Hong Kong School Drama Festival. The Primary four students joined the annual English Speaking Fair (STEP). Some of our students were involved in The Sunday Smile, a RTHK radio programme on RTHK. The students celebrated Halloween with related fun activities. Our Cambridge classes delivered good results. Students showed off their handwriting skills in an English Penmanship Competition and their writing skills in our school’s annual English Writing Competition.

Some of our students were the champions in the District Vocabulary Championship.  There were also a few who got third prize in the Territory-wide championship.
